DOCUMENTING THE UNTHINKABLE
We’ve all heard the conspiracy theories about the United Nations. You know the ones, black helicopters, a plan for world government, the mark of the Beast.
But what if it wasn’t a ‘conspiracy theory’, what if the rumors were true – at least in part? What if the public were being subconsciously prepared for the global introduction of something unthinkable in a plan that has taken seven decades to reach its fruition?
Award-winning investigative journalist and #1 bestselling author Ian Wishart decided to find out for himself.
Totalitaria: What If The Enemy Is The State?, picks up where NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden left off. Where the former CIA spy gave us the ‘how’, the veteran journalist gives us the ‘why’ and, even more importantly, the ‘who’, the ‘what’ and the ‘when’.
What he found out will shock you, and make you question everything you believe. As one reader of Totalitaria said: “It’s like The Matrix, but it’s real.”
WHAT’S INSIDE THE BOOK?
With nearly 500 footnotes and citations in its 350 pages, Totalitaria contains mountains of facts to back up every finding. Meticulous attention to detail is something Wishart is known for.
“So here’s the thing,” he says in the book. “As an investigative journalist, it’s my job to chase down rumors and gossip and look instead for hard facts. What follows has come directly from United Nations or other primary source documents.”

In a 32 year career Wishart has survived attempts on his life, and toughed-out threats from organized crime. His investigations were among the first to reveal the existence of what became known as the “Echelon” global surveillance system, and his work on mysterious tax haven dealings in the 1990s received international attention culminating in a movie, and set the scene for a follow-up by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists into global tax haven dealings in 2013.
As a senior journalist who has worked for New Zealand’s three largest TV networks and later hosted his own #1 rated evening talk show, Wishart has won multiple journalism awards both at home and in Australia and the USA.
He was the first journalist in the world to confirm the 2009 leak of Climategate emails from the University of East Anglia in Britain was genuine, and his own book on climate change, Air Con: The Seriously Inconvenient Truth About Global Warming, became a #1 climate bestseller in both the USA and the UK.
Wishart is the author of 20 books, including the bestseller Vitamin D: Is This The Miracle Vitamin?
